The VUMIE(tm) catalase and motility videos are MPEG.
If, when you try to view the videos, a program other than Windows Media Player is launched, we recommend that you first change the default video player to Windows Media Player. You can do this from the Control Panel --> Default Programs.
If that does not solve the problem, your problem is probably related to a missing codec. Some versions of Windows (and associated Windows Media Player) do not have a codec to view these videos. Specifically, Windows XP and Windows Vista may not have these codecs. There are numerous video codecs available for free on the internet that will allow Windows Media Player to play these videos. For example, we have installed the K-Lite Codec Pack (BASIC) and that has resolved the problem. Download this codec pack from: www.free-codecs.com/k_lite_codec_pack_download.htm
NOTE: Because we do not produce the codecs, we cannot provide support for them.
