Kluyvera intermedia

This microbe was formerly known as Enterobacter intermedius.  It can be isolated from natural environments, such as drinking water, surface water, and unpolluted soil. There is no evidence that it can cause human diseases. It is a Gram negative straight rod occurring in singles and pairs, which exhibits motility using peritrichous flagella. Gas is produced from glucose. Growth is at 35-37 C.
