It is used with Nitrate B reagent (sulfanilic acid dissolved in acetic acid) to detect the presence of nitrite produced by the <a href=\"https:\/\/vumicro.com\/es\/docs\/nitrate-reductase-test\/\" title=\"Nitrate reductase test\">reduction of nitrate<\/a> in <a href=\"https:\/\/vumicro.com\/es\/docs\/nitrate-broth-with-durham-tube\/\" title=\"Nitrate broth with Durham tube\">nitrate broth<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After inoculating nitrate broth and incubating overnight, five drops of each reagent are added to the culture.
