New Day Button

Biochemical tests look for the products of growth.  For that reason, inoculated media are placed in an incubator overnight to allow chemical changes to take place. 

1. In the Virtual Lab, you can click on the New Day Button to advance time of growth to the next day.  This change is indicated on the day counter. 

2. Most tubes and plates in the incubator can now be read to determine test results for ID use.

 

NOTE:  The New Day Button is the only way time advances in the Virtual Lab.  Actual calendar day changes do not move time forward.
